Web Site Traffic Statistics

Your web site traffic statistics are viewed in the web control panel. To access the control panel, type the following web site address into your web browser: www.domain.com/siteadmin - Replace domain.com with your own domain name. You will be prompted for your username and password before you can proceed.

Site Usage / Web Traffic Statistics

Once you are in the control panel, click on the site usage icon and the window in figure 1 will show.	*Figure 1 - Site Usage*

Report Generated
The date and time (taken from the server) that the current report was generated

Period Covered
The period the report covers

Number of Computers Requesting Content
The total number of unique visitors to the web site during the Period Covered

HTML Page Requests
Total number of pages displayed amongst the Number of Computers Requesting Content

Bad Requests
Pages that have not been served correctly, either by errors in your web site or users terminating the session before the page have been displayed within a web browser

Total Requests
The total number of pages served

Distinct Files Served
The amount of files in your web site that have been served to visitors i.e. logo.gif

Bytes Transferred
The amount of data your web site has moved within the Period Covered

Web Content by Number of Requests and Web Usage by Site
Shows a list of files that are most popular on your web site.

Web Usage by Browser
Shows a list of popular web browsers used to view your web site by visitors.

Download Log File
Allows you to download the raw log files to be used in an external program for further analysis. Programs such as webtrends are excellent if you require more detailed information and past records.
